November 8, 2025 at 11:48 PMActually, there are many, many countries whose names in English start with "W." It's just that Wales is the only one that is *still* a country. Three others off the top of my head, all once kingdoms/principlaities: Wessex, Westphalia, Wallachia. Try writing about them and their history without usinf "w" ....
