Is happy holidays capitalized?

Most people capitalize Happy Holidays when it is used as a standalone greeting even though “holidays” is not a proper noun. So, it is widely accepted to write “Happy Holidays!” However, in other contexts “holiday” or “holidays” is not capitalized (e.g., “I hope you have a happy holiday season”).

In happy holidays images, you might see this greeting capitalized or not depending on the image and font style. Classic styles may capitalize each word, while other images may use all capital letters. Minimalist or modern images may even use all lowercase letters.
