We're Joining Course Hero!
I am thrilled to announce that QuillBot is teaming up with Course Hero, and we have entered into an agreement to be acquired. The last three and a half years have been an incredible adventure for QuillBot, one full of exciting developments and ambitious challenges.
I want to assure you that the platform will continue to operate as-is, and that we are here to stay. Both Course Hero and QuillBot share a vision to improve our users’ writing and enable them to learn while doing so.
What does this mean for our users?
We started QuillBot with the idea that through leveraging artificial intelligence, we would be able to fundamentally improve people’s writing skills. We have only just scratched the surface of this mission. Going forward, QuillBot will continue to push the envelope with new paradigm-shifting products, and we will continue to build out the ones that you all have grown to love. Our mission of making writing painless remains unchanged; now, we have additional resources and support to build on this vision.
Why Course Hero?
We have long admired Course Hero━in fact, I was a loyal subscriber while in university. Their mission to help students graduate, confident and prepared, is one that resonates deeply with us. We are excited to be able to leverage their large platform and resources, as well as work with their phenomenal team, to deliver a best-in-class experience to our users. Their recent acquisitions of LitCharts and CliffNotes, as well as the core Course Hero platform of study notes and tutoring, provide a unique opportunity to deliver our tools to many more millions of users around the world, including students, educators, and tutors.
We would not have made it this far without the dedication of our world-class team and the love and support of our loyal users.
